Pulp Painting - Ships and Nautical Flags

Depicting ships of the Great Lakes in pulp is really an extension of my steel industry series.  Images of steam and steel created out of plant fiber I find to be an intriguing and challenging dichotomy.  The images often have the feel of a hazy photograph or a fragmented memory of a half-remembered past.  The nautical flags are based on historic designs.
